Kindness Campaign
What is the Kindness Campaign?
Our goal at Draper Park Middle School is to eliminate bullying by emphasizing KINDNESS.
We believe that it is important to talk about the things we SHOULD be doing – focusing on the positive, rather than focusing on the negative – in order to improve the climate of our school.
Twice each month in rotating classes, we will be sharing a brief lesson on various topics to foster a climate of kindness, resilience, and inclusivity within our school.
If you come across a great idea or something that inspires kindness, please let us know so that we can include it in future planning!
Example Lessons Below
Our lessons vary each month & each year, if you are interested in learning what is currently being taught please reach out to your student’s counselor!

Gratitude Lesson
Why gratitude is important in our lives
Upstanders instead of Bystanders
- October is National Anti-bullying month and we always have lessons on inclusion
- Learn to be an upstander, not a bystander when you see bullying
- Speak up when you see something happening at school or on social media
- Think before you speak
