Draper Park Library

The mission of the Draper Park Middle School Library Program is to bring together all members of the learning community in encouraging an enduring love of reading, the development of information literacy skills, inspiring curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Library Hours

Monday-Thursday: 7:20am-3:10pm
Friday: 7:20am-1:10pm

Policies & Procedures

Book Checkout:
  • 4 books can be checked out at a time.
  • Books are checked out for 2 week periods.
  • Books can be renewed in-person or online using Destiny.
  • Students log into Destiny using the same login and password as a school computer.
Fines/Lost Books:
  • 10¢ per day/per book if overdue- holidays and weekends are excluded
  • ​A student must pay for any borrowed books that were damaged or lost. 
  • Fines are paid in the library.
  • Cash or checks are accepted. 
  • Checks made out to DPMS or Draper Park Middle School.
Students in the Library:
  • ​Students are welcome in the library before school, during lunch, and after school.
  • Lunch passes must be checked out before A lunch begins in order to stay in the library during lunch time. 
  • Students should keep their voices down and not distract others while in the library.
  • No food/drink in the library.
  • Students should be respectful of others, library property, and library materials while visiting the library.
Printing:
  • Students are able to use the library printer to print out school related material.
  • The printer is black & white only- no color ink
  • Printing is FREE!
